Vikes interested in OG Chester Pitts

Free-agent offensive guard Chester Pitts, who is coming off microfracture surgery on his right knee, told Fox Sports Houston's website that the Vikings called him last week and wanted to know where he was in his rehabilitation process. Pitts said he has talked to several teams and although there have been no contract offers his best chance might be in Seattle. Detroit and San Francisco reportedly also have expressed interest.

The 6' 4" 308lb Pitts will be 31 in June but he is a 7 years starter for the Houston Texans and could add some experience for our O-line and maybe push Herrera for the starting job.

bring him in i say even if he doesnt work out thats still some pressure on our RG position and extra veteran to help out the young o lineman we have already slated for camp

I'm all for Pitts. He'll at least wake up Herrerasaurus whose stuck in the stone ages.

It's such a shame that Mars isn't your GM. You'd have signed every FA on the market by now.

Quotes please. That is what I thought. Anyways G has been a major concern for me besides CB. We kinda of addressed it in the draft. We need someone to push Herrera.

You do realize he plays LG right? Mix that in with the "Micro" surgery and I doubt this guy is nothing more than backup material.

Or, maybe he plays the 0 Technique.

Nobody in the history of the NFL has ever changed positions on the offense line!

He is a 7 year starter he might be capable of switching from left to right and we do need more backup on our line.
