Update to our draft needs.
Going into the draft almost everyone agreed that our needs were
1)DE
2)S
3)DT
4)QB
5OT
6)LB
Seems like we have addr everything but
DE, QB and OT
With the signing of a Safty and DT, I think any players in those positions will get drafted late in the draft.
I think our draft now looks to be
1) DE or QB in round 1 ( Brohm worked out for us
the other day)
2) QB or DE in round 2
3) OT in round 3
4) CB in round 3
5) WR in round 4
6) RB in round 5

Re: Update to our draft needs.
Very nice.
I keep forgeting that we signed our 5th safety the other day.
I need to go dig up that thread were all the pooo pooo'rs said they were crazy for letting a certain S go and I said the front office had a plan on that one.
Man I love the search function.
;D
By the way I would say....
DE/OT round one.
DT/OT/DE/QB round two
QB/DT/DE round three
DT/QB/DE round three
K/DT/QB/DE round four
No one is talking about how old Longwell is getting.
Can you imagine if they could get a guy like Carmody or Serna who could actually kick the ball into the endzone to push the old fella for the K job?
Both can punt as well as kick which would be a plus if Kluwe went down. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

1. Defensive End
2. Quarterback
3. Offensive Tackle
4. Safety
At this point I'm just hoping for Brohm. If we take Merling over Brohm I'll be very disappointed."I hate when threads are destroyed by facts and logic."

Re: Update to our draft needs.
The needs are starting up front.
DE
OT
S
QB
DT
LB
I could see something happening with Mount McKinnie, and a possible trade makes the decisions on draft day unforeseeable at this point.
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Re: Update to our draft needs.
Hopefully the TOA doesn't put a round on each position. I would rather see them pick BPA through the entire draft, while drafting for players at positions we need. With nine picks this should not be a problem. We've freed ourselves up to do this by signing FA's. I wouldn't doubt a QB signing before the draft.
I would even select a QB first if I thought he was gonna be a better pro then the top rated DE on the value board. Draft the QB then go get a underatted DE. If Ray Edwards and Brian Robison become big time guys our crew will look genius.

Now that we have signed the new Safety, which I think is brilliant signing. My goodness. I cannot remember when we had such a great offseason of signings and an outlook to go forward. I am in limbo as far as QB goes. That is scary we need to address the backup I am just not comfy with Bollinger there.I am THE #1 Sidney Rice #18 Fan ever! Don't Be surprised when this kid IS a superstar! He is humble, smart, tough, talented and has alot of character! Takes alot of pride in his work, team, fans and life. Watch out for this kid! I think he is awesome! Everytime he touches the ball its MAGIC!
