MANKATO, Minn. (AP) -- Tarvaris Jackson spent the first morning of Minnesota's training camp with his red jersey half-rolled up underneath his shoulder pads, partially hiding the No. 7 on the front...

I like Tarvaris' attitude.

Once again, Tarvaris comes across as a class act.
Good for him.
Obviously, I hope he's as successful as we think he can be.
If he's not, I think you've got to look at the coaches, not Tarvaris, because everything we've heard is that he's got a good attitude and is working his tail off.
I also thought his comment about Tom Brady and Peyton Manning was funny, considering how people bash them here.
He's right.
Those guys are the the two best QBs in the game, and there are plenty of people that will argue until their dying breath that they're terrible.

So, who copies who? When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

You gotta respect the kid's heart and determination.
That should help him in his quest to be an NFL starting QB.
He's also got the necessary physical tool to succeed.
Hopefully he can get his techniques and skills up to par.
I need my #7 Jackson jersey investment to pan out so the kid better do well.

Ahh...should have known, eh?
Him and AP totally seem to be the new, style Vikings.
Humble, hard-working, respectful, intelligent guys!!
They remind me of Tomlinson...the kind of football player that every fan of any team in the league can respect and cheer for!!!
SKOL!

Re: Untested Jackson ready for scrutiny, challenge of taking over as Vikings QB
Our Offense is geared to keep the pressure off the young QB. He shouldn't have too many 3rd and longs this year. A strong running game and a quick 3-5 step drop with quick throws will let our other play-makers get some YAK.

I have yet to see one instance where a QB in the new offense hasn't been under pressure or in need of making too quick decisions. Since we have essentially the same line, the same scheme and rookies and unproven new players at QB,RB,WR and TE I can't see how any fan has a way of evaluating what our scheme will do. If it was just familiarity with the system then you would think we would have seen a progression of execution as the season progressed, but the team went backwards if anything towards the end of the season except some good running performances by taylor that didn't translate to wins.

I still contend that we will see a very balanced offense with about 40% Run/60% Pass.

Wait and see.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
