Re: UDFA:Update with list
Mark my words, Reynaud will make our team.
This is a wes welker type player but MORE athletic.
will contribute on ST and be a great fit at 3rd WR.
Obviously, I don't claim to be a know it all, but I love this signing.
I have seen him make a lot of big plays at WV, and his athletic ability borders on freakish.
circle this post, and I'll eat crow if i'm wrong.
Unless he got hurt or smokes drugs or has sex in a public place...etc.

We will proberly only go with 5 WR as we wont run many 5 wide reciever sets all season.. However he might still be capable of getting one of those special teams spot or beat out Robert Ferguson for the last wideout roster spot.."mjuaire" wrote:

Ferg or AA would seem to be the likely candidates to miss the final roster cuts but I am pretty sure the staff likes what they saw in AA when they drafted him and he hasn't really shown anything to sway them from that original assesment."Marrdro" wrote:

In fact he did pretty well with the limited action he saw last year.
Ferg on the other hand is a tenasious blocker and a solid Vet that a certain starting QB established a amount of trust with late last year.
My quess is they will keep 5 WR's on this roster and maybe sneak a couple three onto the practice squad incase someone gets hurt but the 5 (BB, Rice, B-wade, AA, Ferg) all have a role in the WR corps and should be the leaders to hold onto those spots.
Kindof along shot for our last pick or any of the UDFA to unseat them me thinks but I won't discount one of them WOWing the coaches. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

But It's possible that we keep 6.
you may think we won't but it's possible.
I was impressed some with AA but was really unimpressed with his lack of physicality.
size aside, he seemed timid and i didn't like that. He was a rook so who knows, i'm just commenting about what i saw.
I think Reynaud would be as successful blocking as Ferg and could offer more of a slot presence than Ferg can offer a X or Z presence.
I can't really say what i think about whos would be gone if they only kept 5, but an athlete like that could be used all over the place, and has more value to our team, imo, than either AA or Ferg.

To many questions at all the positions to think that one part of the coaching staff would give up a player so that another positional coach can have an extra kid.
My guess is that if any roster position gets an extra guy it will be on the OL what with pending issues at LT but to date I haven't been able to figure out were they would get the extra roster spot.

Re: UDFA:Update with list
We've got a pretty full roster now.
I think it is going to be real tough to narrow down those last few choices in the cut from 80+ to 60, and even harder to go from there down to 53.
It sounds bad, but its real good!
Thats the part that makes me glad I'm not making the decisions!
;D
Renaud's got skills for sure, but, we have tons of return ability strewn among our FA and Draft and UDFA.
I could possibly see 6 WRs, but that means we need to cut somebody else in a position we feel good about...RB?
TE?
S?
Maybe along the DL somewhere?
If it goes down that way, it will probably be because of the versatility we have between some of those positions...ie guys that can play or at least backup multiple spots.
For Example, Maybe, Tyrell can be our 4th S and 5th CB.Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!
