    UDFA thread

MY initial thoughts is that The Vikings have a couple of QB targeted as potential UDFA to pick up. Post any that you see after the draft ends

I think the Vikes already drafted all their targeted UDFA's in rounds 5-7.

Robinson is gone ... Patriots nabbed him.

Jarrett Brown and Jevon Snead are possibilities for us to look at and see if they are the next Tony Romo.

Here are a few that jump off the draft sheets at me (but admittedly I'm no expert):

    QB: Jarrett Brown, Jevan Snead
    FB: Rashawn Jackson
RB: Lonyae Miller, LeGarrette Blount (seems like a puke)
    WR: Blair White, Jeremy Williams
    G: Ciron Black
    T: Tony Washington,
DE: Brandon Lang, Lindsey Witten, George Johnson, Kevin Basped
    SS: Donovan Warren

Hope they pick a couple of these guys' up. Seems like every year we find a UDFA or two that stick, and we have some UDFA gems on the roster (e.g. Farwell, Herrera, Reynaud, Albert Young).

As for other players I would love to see us look at:

CB - Donovan Warren - Michigan - Cannot believe he was not drafted. He probably already has something lined up because this guy is very talented and definitely can play in the NFL. He may be an NFL safety though, but so ay Cook. This would give us a shot to really nail down 5 excellent corners and 3-4 excellent safeties.

RB - LeGarrette Blount - Also can't believe nobody took a flyer on this guy. Someone that has a bigger need at back probably already has him lined up, but would not mind seeing him battle and make our RB corps a solid three deep.

TE - Colin Peek - I think he can be an excellent blocker with a little schooling at the NFL level. He is the right size to be a perfect No. 2/3 TE that could really push the line some. He also has decent hands, but lacks any speed to be a real threat. I think he could be solid in goal line situations and running situations.

G - Dorian Brooks - A small school brawler that I think could make the move to the NFL fairly well. May have to spend a year on the practice squad before really competing but should have a future in the league with the right coaching.

G - Brandon Carter - I am kind of shocked he was not drafted due to many team's need in the interior of the line. I have read he often gets bad penalties. But I know from watching a lot of Big 12 he is an absolute beast when he gets going and plays with a mean streak.

DT - Vince Oghobaase - This guy is from Duke so easy to fly under the radar, but he has the size to play this spot at this level. He would probably be a flyer and would spend a year on the practice squad, but could develop into something decent for depth purposes.

LB - Harry Coleman - Considering the football factory he is from (LSU) I am kind of shocked he was not drafted. I have seen him play some and feel he got out of position overpursuing but that is something that can be coached out. He has the athleticism if not the speed to be effective. Could play special teams and be a fill in.

SS - Justin Woodall - Another tweener that would be more of a special teams contributor at first. He might have to be moved to linebacker because he lacks the raw speed needed. But our zone coverage scheme might work for him. He is a solid tackler.

    YES!!!

I hope that's right... if we go into the season with Peterson, Gerhart and Blount, we have the NFL's best running game without question.
