MANKATO, Minn.  Tyrell Johnson isn't sure how much he'll play, but the Vikings' top draft choice is looking forward to it.
Re: Tyrell Johnson psyched for first taste of NFL game action
Tyrell is going to be a exciting player this year, and a great Viking for some time. I love that Larry Johnson got him once with a stiff arm, but when he tried it again, Tyrell lowered the boom. Sweet...

Whats even stweeter is that he didn't know it was live action the first time around... I was a little surprised myself to here that he got stiff armed, turns out he didn't know they were going contatct.
I stated in my first post about him that I felt he was Pro Bowl Caliber, after reading about his short time with us he's definitly impressed. He really does want to be great, he carries a great attitude and work ethic, he's wired right and his athletic ability is amazing.
Most early round Safety's can come in and have an immediate impact, I like the fact that we had him #17 draft day while getting him in the early second. I expect to see him on the field and he's one of many guys I really look foward to seeing on Firday Night.

And that means Sharper can leave earlier.

Lol, Marr ... I bet you got a kick out of the "Vikings Hall of Fame" thread and all the goofs on there that think Sharper will make it.

Yeah, but then the Vikes are gonna pick up Chad Clifton and Jennings in his place.

The safety doesn't look over his head in any regard, and his intensity hasn't gone unnoticed by teammates and coaches. Darren Sharper is one of his admirers.

Yup good articles this kid is what I expected, all he needs to do now is show up on game days.
I think he's gonna be a great safety in the league, staying healthy is always important and if he can do that he'll show everyone he should have been an early first rounder. Gotta love drafting great talent from small schools when other teams have there minds wrapped up in big college recruits.
