Mitchell, who said he ran a 4.31 40-yard dash at his pro day, said the Cleveland Browns, the Minnesota Vikings and the Jacksonville Jaguars have shown the most interest in him.

"I worked out with Cleveland and Jacksonville a couple of times," Mitchell said. "I think Minnesota might be the best fit because they need receivers."

The draft process has been the same for Fowler, who led NCAA Division 2 receivers in catches and touchdowns this season.Like Mitchell, Fowler has worked out for the Browns and Jaguars. He also said the Vikings, and Steelers have expressed interest.

I like what I see about that Fowler guy...led D2 in catches and TDs...AND graduates with a DOUBLE major...smart and talented...could be a sleeper pick for us!

I have seen 2 mock drafts that have us getting Steve Smith in the 2nd.

Childress and Spielman approved the release of the rumor regarding these 'no-name' WRs for the exclusive purpose of infuriating those people who have recently posted nasty comments about them on Vikings message/comment boards.
