Two oldies to consider, one for the Vikes - Brian Dawkins?

With the Vikings’ front seven in pretty good shape for at least another year, a hard-hitting, playmaker like Dawkins on the back end would look pretty good.

I don't think its a priority, but I wouldn't say no. He'll probably be expensive.

Leslie's scheme doesn't employ hard hitting, run stopping safeties. He has skills, but he excels because Jim Johnson's defense sets him up to do so.
    Pass.

This will never happen, Dawkins will be way too expensive and to be honest at this point in Dawkins career I think Tyrell Johnson has a better future and would like to see the money spent elsewhere.

He would have been good for leadership, but he is OLD

Eh ... I would not hate it or love it. I think Dawkins would be a great leader for us ... but I do not think it is a move we have to make or would make us all that much better.

So we have a scheme that neither employs hard hitting safeties like Dawkins or ballhawking safeties like Sharper....seems to me that our scheme calls for a safety that doesn't make many plays...I mean what else can a safety do? Be solid in coverage and thats it?

Yet we argue that Sharper is on the decline when he is solid in coverage but not making as many plays as he used to.

He would be interesting, however, with most players like him, I don't even look at them very hard this time of year.

This staff just seems to trend towards cats that are coming out of thier first contract.

Yeah now I am confused. What fucking scheme do we use?
