Training Camp
Greetings All,
First of all, I would like to say thank you to all of you who sent emails and well wishes while I was in Iraq for the last 14 months. I am glad to be back in Germany with my family. I am even more excited that I soon will be leaving Germany to head back to the USA after 7 years. I can't wait to get Direct TV with NFL Sunday ticket and get to watch every game at normal times and not at night.
Can anyone tell me about training Camp this year? I will be in the North Iowa area from the middle of June until the end of July and would love to get up to Mankato to see some of the Training Camp. When does the camp start this year and how hard is it to get in to see some of the training.
Thanks for any info!!
Dave

No, thank you for defending our country against terrorism....First of all, I would like to say thank you to all of you who sent emails and well wishes while I was in Iraq for the last 14 months.
It begins sometime either in Jthe last week of July or 1st week of August.
Here is the schedule from last year to give you an idea.

I know there is a Vikings training camp web site (not the one on Vikings.com), but I can't find it right now. I believe it was minnesotavikingstrainingcamp.com, but I see that domain is expired. There should be a new one coming up for the 2007 season but it won't happen until it gets closer to trainingcamp.
It's quite easy to get in to see the practices. The Vikings village is open daily & all you need is a ticket & pay a parking fee to get in.
