Re: Trading out of the first round?
If we trade out of the first round, I will cry.
The talent level in this draft should drop off tremendously after the 1st round.

There's last years 2nd round, a lot of good players in there. It all depends on whose left at 22 and what teams will offer to get them. I never have a problem with moving down 3-5 places and getting a 3rd or something of that nature.

Name 5 Rb prosects? I'll wait
Name 5 DE prospects with 1st round talents? I'll wait
Name 3 Saftey prospects?
This years has 2 Qbs and a possible third that lost ever game to Division 1 schools.
Outside of Tackle, LB and CB it's a very weak draft.

It might not be as good but every year good players come out of every round of the draft. If we target a player that we can get 15 picks later, we better trade down.
How did you feel we reached for players like we did with Williamson, TJ and Cook, instead of trading down.

Re: Trading out of the first round?
I think we should draft the BPA, stick with the QB and WR's we have, and fire Childress if they don't work out

Re: Trading out of the first round?
I honestly like the idea of trading out of the first round again this year. There are some good arguments for it and against it but it worked out pretty well last year. If you look at who is going to be available at 22 this year, it seems more and more like we aren't going to be drafting someone that will make a huge impact this year. IE a QB. If we trade out, we could possible pick up a free agent that will make this team win a superbowl NOW. We are 1 or 2 players away from being that team, and a 22nd overall draftpick isn't going to do it. However a QB, a RT, and/or one more decent WR could do it.
If you look at who we have now at those positions, they just aren't cutting it. T-Jack... well there is 100 posts on that. Ryan Cook, should be a center and maybe he will be this year if Birk isn't back. And sidney Rice/B-Wade... both have played like pretty good number 3's but we coul def. use another playmaker ESPECIALLY if T-Jack is still our QB this year. Now if you look at the players we could get by trading that first rounder.... people like Gross, Derek Anderson, or Tj Whosyourmama could all help us out a lot more than a 22nd overall pick could... at least imo.

If there's no first round pick, who can we accuse of being a bust?

SHM!
I don't want us to trade out of the fisrt round, but it depends on where we land. Will it be a top 5
2nd round pick and an extra 3rd? Then maybe. It all depends but I would like us to select a CB in the first with serious talents. These guys are supposed to be there.
VONTAE DAVIS, CB
DARRIUS HEYWARD-BEY, WR
NICKS WR
IF we do trade down to the 2nd
MICHAEL JOHNSON, DE
KENNY BRITT, WR
Alphonso Smith CB
While some of these guys will go late first - early 2nd. I think there is allstar talent at 23.
Vonte Davis will be an excellent pick for us.
How did I feel when we drafted williamson with the 7th pick. If you want to be honest, I wanted Derrick Johnson.
I was upset as I had never really heard of Williamson( he's the reason I started following the pre- draft stuff a bit more)
