    Re: Trade Rumor's for Schaub

What is the best job in america?
    Back up NFL quarterback.

We have three back-ups now. We don't need to trade for one.

At least Brad has been a proven starter and winner in the past.

I would lose faith in the regime if they made this trade.

Oh yea, i highly doubt this comes true, however, i wouldn't be opposed to it as long as it's just brad johnson and a 2nd round pick...
I would do it for a second round pick (the lower one) and definitely would not pull the trigger for BJ. BJ is much more capable then Schaub. pooh, you get Schaub for BJ and you have no veterans. The better option would be to take the chances on BJ not getting injured and pick up a QB next year. I'm not for a BJ for Schaub deal, that would not be wise.

I agree.. Right now we have a better shot at winning with BJ then we do with Schaub. I would love to have Schaub on the Vikings, but not by trading BJ for him. If we are looking long term, then possibly Schaub would be the answer, but if we are looking past this next season, then all these big signings will be for nothing. We need the man for right here, right now, and that man is BJ..

I heard a rumor at work...so you can take this with a grain of salt, but just thought i'd throw it out there.

I was told that brad johnson was contacted by an undisclosed team, which he said the team was looking for a strong back up, and wondered if he was interested in moving south again. He hinted at Atlanta, and it sounded like they were thinking about trading Schaub for Brad Johnson and a 2nd round pick.
Why would Brad wanna be anudda backup, when he has da startin' job right now, which is what he said he wanted some time ago, y'know? He's only got what, one, mebbe two good years left in 'im. Why spend dat time warmin' da bench when he could go out a starter, y'know? Dat don't make no sense ta me, y'know? Dis guy you got da rumor from is fulla prunes. Brad knows da system, Schuab would have ta loin it. I say, no deal!

I don't buy much into that story, Brad had stated more than once he wants to be a starter. I doubt he would want to go to Atlanta to back up vick on his own doing....

I don't want to give up a 1st round pick for him which seems to be the Falcons asking price. Wasn't he a 3rd round pick ? Point being ...draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round and take a season or two to develope him.

BJ was born in Marrietta, GA - maybe he is ready to come home.

Schuab may be a good nfl QB, but I'd like him to learn the system for a year before he got thrown into the fire.

The Falcons don't want to give Schaub up cheap, the asking price is probably to much. I'd like to get Sims or maybe Greenway in the first round rather that trading the pick for Schaub.
    WE CAN BUILD ON THIS!!!

    In AP I trust

    Re: Trade Rumor's for Schaub

There has been another rumor flying around lately.. The possibility of us trading our first rd pick in the 2007 draft for Matt Schaub.. If we are able to do that, then it might be worth it to grab him now. If we can wait until next season to give up a 1st rd pick for Schaub now, and still have all of our picks in this years draft, then it may be worth it.
