Schaub is 0-2 as a starter, in my opinion that's just as unproven as a rookie. They were discussing this idea on KFAN yesterday, just wondering what y'all thought about this idea?
I'd rather do this than package our picks to move up and pick a guy that has never taken a snap in the NFL. Of course ATL would have to agree, but a 1st rd pick should do it.
I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

if we can get him for a second round i would say go for it. check him out in camp and see what he can do. I think he can definately beat out mcmahon for backup.

Thanks to PPE for the awesome Sig.

Atlanta also traded a backup QB about 15 years ago that had very similar skills, his name was Brett Favre and I think that GB was happy with what they gave up for him.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

First of all, Matt Schaub is NOT overrated. He is a solid QB that understands how to read defenses very well. He played well everytime he came in for Vick.
As far as trading for him I would love to see it happen but I don't think it will. As far as getting someone like Croyle, I hope that NEVER happens. I don't understand how people want this guy when he couldn't really cut it in college never mind the pros. He's not that good. Does anyone know where Alabama's offense was ranked? I would much rather take Jacobs if he's available.

Favre was a completely untested rookie before he went to the Packers. In that sense, Schaub has an advantage over Favre because he has had significant, yet limited, game-time experience. I just don't see how 1 good game against a piss-poor New England (as they were at the beginning of the season) and a decent performance against a Panthers team so set on stopping Vick that they didn't consider anything else translates into the equivalent of a first-round prospect.
In 2 years his stats aren't that impressive, as listed here and while I know stats don't mean anything (look at Kyle Orton), I'm still not convinced.
