How does it all play out? How far under are we now?

i think it freed up a couple more million, don't know the exact number.... but with hutchinson's huge contract we're still gonna have quite a bit of room still left for rookies and maybe another FA or two

We get an extra 2.3 million. I'm not sure where we were at prior to the trade so I would venture to say with all the FA signings and counting Hutches contract probably somehere around 15million or so. This is just an estimate so don't etch it in stone.

We only free up 2.3 million more of cap room for this year.

Plus we save a lot in the future because a couple years ago he signed a 10 year 100 million contract (realistically worth about 50 mil). But it will save us more in the future because the cap hit the initial year does not exist in the future as he will be off the books.
