i think we can, 2nd rounders are big in drafts, we got ej with a 2nd loll
yah we should do it to get the lions pic, and we should get cutler NOWW
idk pprolly more around were we already are like 17-18. if that. the first round goes really deep this year.
maybe, i dunno.... the NFL has a chart which gives a point value to each spot in the draft and this is what teams usually go by when trading picks.... but it's WAY skewed to the top part of the draft and it's unlikely we'd be able to get one of the "elite" players this draft has to offer.... unless we included our first rounder as a part of the trade.... i'd rather just hold on to them and see who we end up with.... i mean, none of them are proven players at this point anyways
25th is the pick we would get according to this trade chart - http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFLDraft/Draft+Insider/2004/TradeValue.htm

Actual trades have very little to do with a chart like this, and everything to do with who is willing to deal their picks, and who feels like they need them.
For example, the Giants have the 25th pick, and I would be very surprised if they traded it. On the other hand, Denver has two picks (22 and 29) and I think it would be much more likely that we could get one of those.
Are you crazy -- Trade TWO second round picks for a first. All the experts are predicting that the second round will be full of great picks. We get Sims in the first and then Omar Jacobs with a second round pick and a free safety.
Just keep the 2 second rounders, we dont do good drafting in the 1st round but we do good in later rounds. We need more than 1 player so lets fill some holes, let BJ take it this season then maybe somehow next year we can score a QB...Brady Quinn maybe.
I would ONLY trade up to #2 IF we didn't get Schaub or Ramsey in a trade...otherwise, there is no one rated high enough that we need to warrant picking that high. Why do you think teams almost always want to trade DOWN from there?
