Re: Top of your UFA wish list?

I wouldn't spend a ton, but I would "probably" see what Stallworth would be looking for.
He has the potential to stretch the defense, as many have pointed out, he has a lot of injury problems, (hamstring).

If we are going to trade for a WR, I would rather go for Porter then Horn.
I know Porter isn't the ideal "attitude" guy for Chilly, but he would come in as the #1 WR, that could change his outlook.
Send Smoot to the Raiders for him, obviously he's not going to stick around, may as well get something for him.

While it would be nice to have that added threat at end with Freeney I just can't see him being available at all this off season, the Colts will not let him go.

I would like to see a few new faces brought in at WR, dropped passes can not be accepted and the current group we have do not fill me with confidence. Stallworth would be nice.
    I agree.
To keep thim they will put the Franchise Tag on him.
The colts would be dumb not to do it.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I voted freeney, we also didn't expect edge to leave the colts either.
Granted their wont be any poison pills like last year, however we also didn't expect to get hutch.
I think that someway there is always a chance to land a particular player.

I do think stallworth would be a great receiver for our team, I think the eagles may fight pretty hard to keep him.
But, then again, anything could happen.

Well looks like Freeney is out...

"Dwight Freeney won't be allowed to hit the free-agent market. Colts president Bill Polian and owner Jim Irsay have said that unless they can work out a long-term contract with Freeney, they will designate him their "franchise' player, which means a one-year, $8.6 million contract.

    After what happened last year
I bet teams pay a little more attention to who gets franchised or transitioned this year...probably means more money/negotiating power to the players...

Here's one I missed as another long shot:
Patrick Kearney - "Until he was hurt, Kerney started 105 consecutive games. A 2004 Pro-Bowl choice, Kerney was leading the team in sacks when he got hurt. Typical. Kerney led the team in sacks three of the previous five years, and the Falcons would love to keep the guy. He's quick, strong and he can play the run."
    AND intangibles...locker room presence, etc!!

I think Bennet has potential too...seems like the workin class WR Childress would like.
