Re: Top of your UFA wish list?

I voted for Justin Smith because Freeney hasn't done anything lately.

He will also want a lot more money and might not perform.

Although Freeney did not have his usual 10+ sacks, I would not say he hasn't done anything lately.
What about the constant pressure on the QB on almost every play?
There is not a stat for that.

    Smith cannot hold Freeney's jockstrap.
    Freeney anyday.

Joe Horn in a trade...Drew Bennett via FA...Jeff Garcia via FA...AND a new RT via FA (Oben might be intriguing)

First, you guys are all dreaming if you think Freeney will actually hit the market.
Colts will franchise him if they have to.
    Freeney isn't going anywhere.

    I voted Steinbach.
He would be an immediate upgrade over Hicks/Whittle, is young, and is on the verge of making the Pro Bowl.
Oben barely played at all this season, I think he's basically on the downhill side of his career.

Stallworth in theory might be nice, but he was hurt a lot this past season.
Nevertheless, if the price is reasonable, he sounds like a very good option.
Does anyone know his history regarding dropped passes?
Possible negatives against Stallworth are that he's managed less than 60 catches in 4 of his 5 pro seasons, never had a 1000 yard season, never started more than 13 games in a season; in fact, only has 44 starts in 5 seasons.
For the Eagles not to want him back, something is wrong with this picture.
    What is it?

One guy I'm thinking/hoping will be available at a reasonable cost is RFA WR DJ Hackett of the Seahawks.
With Branch and Darrell Jackson the main WRs in Seattle, and with the fat contract they signed Burleson to, I'm not sure the Hawks will put a first round tender on Hackett.
If they leave him at a third round tender, I liked what I saw this season enough to give the Hawks a third round pick for Hackett.

I wish people would get off of Freeney - there's no way the Colts let him go.

I'm looking to sign Freeney, that would be a great pickup.

Who would you offer for Horn - and, please, don't say Smoot.
Come up with something which doesn't cost the Vikings the #7 pick and which the Saints would actually take.

We have our RT of the future on the roster right now, Ryan Cook.

Bennett I would love to get.

    And Garcia?
I'm on the record with saying that TJack is the Vikings QB and needs to be given the full off-season to prepare for that role.

Re: Top of your UFA wish list?

I'd trade our 3rd round pick, and a conditional future 08 pick for Horn. That seems pretty fair if you ask me.

Horn's age is really the only reason I'd give him a 3rd or lower. If he was 2-3 years younger i'd say a 2nd round pick would be fair.

I really cant see Garcia coming here.He will only leave Philly to become a starter on a team. The Bucs, The Dolphins, and a hand full of other teams would take him in a second.

I'd really like for us to get Bennett. He'd be perfect for our offense. He runs good routes, and has sure hands.Thats all you need in the WCO.Speed deff does help, but he has everything else we need.

Also you should take Stallworth of the list.I watched an interview on Rome is burning last week with him.He said he wanted to be an Eagle next year, and their owner, and
Reid both told him they would bring him back.So theres probably less then a 2% chance he'll leave Philly.

Theres NOTHING greater then a Florida Gator!

While it would be nice to have that added threat at end with Freeney I just can't see him being available at all this off season, the Colts will not let him go.

I would like to see a few new faces brought in at WR, dropped passes can not be accepted and the current group we have do not fill me with confidence. Stallworth would be nice.
