Re: espn says cullpeper should be traded before tomaorrow mo

On the NFL channel, they were saying that there is a team that HAS a deal in place and the Vikes are just "sleeping on it". They also said that the Raiders were a "player in the game" but were NOT the team with the existing deal.

I still think it's Miami (that was rumored long before the injury last year) and Wilf and Co. may be just sitting on it in case the Raiders can come up with a better deal overnight.

I've worked with these types of injuries in the past. Rehabbing ONE knee ligament to full activity is bad enough. Rehabbing THREE of the four is nearly impossible. I wish Dante the best and still believe in him (if he had some consistency around him) but I wish him nothing but the best.

Either way, this coming season is going to be VERY interesting!

Also, here's a quick excerpt from the Adam Schefter article posted earlier:
Where Culpepper is going is the biggest mystery in the league. As of now, it is not Oakland. The Raiders and Vikings spoke Thursday, but Oakland is trying to gauge whether or not it wants to try to match, or beat, the other teams' offer. It will spend Thursday night mulling its decision.
I wish we would just pull the trigger. Get it over with already.

Couldn't agree with you more Big C.

Pep is taking the heat for an inept offensive coordinator and coach last year, along with a swiss cheese offensive line. Moreover, the love boat thing is mostly a red herring when it comes to Daunte - no one seems to say much about McKinnie and Smoot, even though their conduct was much more egregious than Daunte's.

Unless we get something huge in return i.e. a first round pick plus some conditional picks, this is a bad bad move. Of course, what should we expect from the team that brought you the Herschel Walker trade...

    How's this for huge:
1-CPep for Oakland's First -draft WR
    2-Ryan Riddle LB, third string
    3-7th rounder

If he makes the Pro Bowl -- a first-round pick in 2007 and 2008.

If this is the case, hopefully he goes to Oakland. He'll make the pro-bowl throwing to Moss again. Plus, the Raider's will still suck and have high picks both years.
    false mattjenny.
that's just his 2 cents; what he would do in our situation.
    it'd be nice though.
