Tommy Blake: Would you draft him..

    The run down...
Projected to be a top 5 pick in Sept. His mental health degraded from the pressure and discovered that he was suffering from clinical depression. Balloned up from 250 to 290.
Since his diagnosis, he has under gone therapy and seems to be back on track.

    Stats:
    6-3 265lbs
    40: 4.4( at 250 his junior year)
    30 bench reps

Most compare him to Freeney on the Colts.
    Here's a quote from
    http://www.footballsfuture.com/2008/prospects/tommy_blake.html
Blake is a big time pass rusher, with the ability to take over a game. Defenses must take account of where he is at because he routinely gets into the backfield to make plays. He has a quick burst off the line, but couples that with very good athleticism, and the closing speed to finish plays off. He is not just a pass rusher, he is active and can make plays as a run stopper

I would love us to take him in the 4th round. He is better than Harvey and the other pass rushers we may draft in the 1st and second....Please Vikes, se your 1st and 2nd round pic to take a game changer and get a steal in a top 5 talent at the end of the 3rd round.

It does...but the risk is minimum.

Perharps its my soft heart for a sad story, but I don't mind giving the guy a chance for a 4th rounder.
He is ideal what we need at DE. It may cost of a 3rd rounder but we have 2 of those this year.
