Re: Is there anyone in the draft you would be happy if we traded up and got
^^^
You shouldn't assume everyone loved Bush. I for 1 didn't. I saw him for the 1 dimentional back that he was. I would never draft a Rb that I can't run between the tackles....
Why would you include Quinn in there? He feel during the draft and wasn't rated as a top 5 guy. Scouts were leeriy of him before the draft. Also what has he done wrong? Been a backup like he should have been his rookie year?
The difference is going after a guy that's a tremendous talent at DE( i thought we needed 1 of those) Our pray and hope mentality has left us with a couple of average players that don't quiet fill our needs...
We have not had good drafts at any round for a while....
The 2005 draft was an abortion.TWill wasn't a can't miss talent.
We aren't the Browns or Jets who need every last pick to turn their team around.
We are a few peices away.

he may not be adrian petersen, but he brings a different demention when in the right situation, i.e; his first year.
i think the point is nothing is a sure thing.
the year we drafted kevin williams i was hearing 3 tackles being rated higher than him and all of them have failed miserably compared to k.williams, so it's a crap shoot.
thats why trading up doesn't seem overly attractive to me.
1. cuz no one i've seen really warrants it 2. i'd prefer leverage for later rounds to move around then giving up too much early."self improvement's masturbation.
now self destruction" that's enlightenment

Vernon Gholston is the only player worth moving up for IMO.
Not to say i wouldn't mind seeing either of the Long's in purple but we would have to give up too much and pay too much for either of those two.
