I'm thinking this draft was great. We got Peterson, who has injury concerns (so did Chestor last year and he gained over 1200 yards.) Rice i wanted, or Jarrett but Rice is more of a Childress kinda guy then jarrett. and seems like solid people throughout.

What a beautiful draft. Quite can't figure out Thigpen, but this draft has been nothing short of awesome on paper.

I can't wait to see how our big 12 defensive player of the year turns out!

Here are all the picks and there schools.

Peterson, Adrian - RB - Oklahoma
Rice, Sidney - WR - South Carolina
McCauley, Marcus CB - Fresno State
    Robinson, Brian DE - Texas
Allison, Aundrae WR - East Carolina
    Alexander, Rufus OLB - Oklahoma
Thigpen, Tyler QB - Coastal Carolina
Williams, Chandler WR - Florida International

I give us a B+ for the draft.

We didn't do that well on the 2nd day.

    Coastal Carolina?
    Florida International?
    Normandale Community College?

    What?
i am really excited about our draft picks!! Marcus McCauley is a great pick! i have wanted to get him since the combine!! he reminds me of a more physical Fred Smoot, which was his only downside!!! Brian Robison is not a speester around the end, but he has great explosion off the line and is an amazing athlete with a 40" vertical leap for a DE!!! GREAT SPECIAL TEAMS GUY! Rufus Alexander is a good pick, 3 year starter and is projected at weakside, can add depth behind a healing Chad Greenway. another good special teams guy. the only 2 picks that i am a little concerned on is Tyler Thigpen, and Chandler Williams. Tyler is a sleep pick in the eyes of Mel Kiper. this pick didn't make sense since Oregon State QB Moore was still on the board and all the experts say he will be playing in the league! and why did we take a 5' 10" WR, and he only runs a 4.55 40yd dash!! i went through all my magazines and most of them say he is a great punt and kick returner, adds good competition for training camp.

OVERALL: we have a lot off good guys that can come in and contribute fast; AD can dominate at RB, McCauley will be a wonderful nickel corner if he stays focused, and Sidney Rice has HANDS!! Mel Kiper even said he has some of the best hands in the Draft!!! GOOD BYE TROY WILLIAMSON!!!

P.S: did anyone else realize that Signey Rice looks alot like Troy Williamson??! it is kinda weird; same school and same position!!!

It was as if in the first 5 rounds the coaching staff was reading my mind. Last 2 not so much but not bad nevertheless.

AD is going to come in and make noise.
Rice is going to compete for what seems is wide open spots at WR.
McCauley is going to compete for nickel.
and we landed probably two special teamers in the DE Robinson and Wr Williams

Yea it did seem like read our minds lol.I wanted them to get aundrey allison in the forth
but we managed to get 2 extra picks and still get him in the fifth. Not sure about the qb.I mean if they really wanted a qb they should have traded up and taken troy smith.

Re: Thats the end of the draft, What do you think of our picks?

I think that we did very well with what we needed to go for. I would have preferred Jarrett to Rice, but Rice is very talented and could end up being very productive if he gets his route running down. I think that McCauley could end up being a very solid nickel back and think that Peterson obviously could be an absolute stud. As for the second day ... I like the kid out of Texas and the LB from Oklahoma. Always good to look for the gems from big time schools because they have played against big competition. I think Thigpen could compete for the No. 2 job in a year or so, but has a ways to go ... and I like the other diamond in the ruff picks because they have high upside for not alot of risk.
