Re: Star-Trib: First Practice in the Books

Well I did say that he has sucked in a way thus far in his career and my argument was that just because he has struggled in his first few years does not mean he sucks..
Yeah he did suck a fair bit last year.
I'm not sure what point you were trying to make but its all good.
All that really matters is that I support Troy Williamson and I can't wait to laugh at all of the people who stopped believing in him.

    dozens of times last year.

I will only be happy if he gets laid out numerous times in TC. If not i assume hell be a punk jiggly butt beeyatch and drop the ball every time he sees a defender running at me.

Since he is out 'best' receiver he'll be lining up across Winfield. I hope Troy takes the last glass of juice at breakfast and AW takes it out on him on the field.
This is what I love about posters like you.
You only look for what you want to see.
Mostly it is the negative side of the issue.

I have an idea, how about looking at both the good and the bad.
    Then make a comment.

    Re-read the whole thing.
It said he dropped a pass but looked good the rest of the day.

    Jeeezzzzzz.
    :
This is what i love about posters like you marrdro, you read my post and see what you want to see. I think I'm way too positive about the vikings this year (especially TJ, shiancoe, doss, mccauley, allison, robison.). Troy has hope. But he ~messed up~ us over so many times. Watching those games last year I'm sure when he dropped a pass on 3rd down you would just say to your self "oh that troy."

And that post had absolutely nothing, zero, to do with what people had said in this thread. It's just how i feel about 1 player.

Please re-read my post and make sure you're not jumping the gun on calling me out for being chronically negative.
    Jeeez Loueeze! ;
What is positive about it my friend?

Show me the error of my ways.
Were do you say, glad he made some good catches after he dropped the first one?

Additionally, unless you have it in super small script I don't see any thing about TJ, shiancoe, doss, mccauley, allison, or robison in the aforementioned thread.
Off on another tangent trying to cover our tracks are we.

Re: Star-Trib: First Practice in the Books

I said chronically negative. There is no chronic in one negative post.

Nothing was positive about that post. It was about T-will only. I'm negative on him and artis hicks possibly.

I'm positive the rest of the vikings team will do well.

    Work -
    Troy Williamson -
    Kicks to the shin -
    Vikings +
    Childress +
    Liverpool fc +
    Alcohol +

Do you follow a little more clearly now?

I've said good things about all of our players in other threads. (not this one) And I'm positive(+) everyday night after PHoD posts i say something positive about T-jack.

    Quicksand.
What concerns me about Troy Williamson is the thought taht he might get caught in quicksand again this season.

For those of you who never watched "The Replacements", Quicksand is when you do something wrong, and you try so hard to shake it that you end up doing another thing wrong, so you fight harder and it all snowballs on you.
The harder you fight, the deeper you sink.

I think that Williamson was affected that way last season.
He dropped a couple early in the season and tried so hard to correct it that he wound up choking...on quicksand.

If he can get a few drop-free games under his belt early, I hope he can build up enough self-confidence to be able to weather the occassional drop (just not on 3rd and short, while wide open, on a short slant that hits you in the hands....those are inexcusable).
Once he can get to the point where he's relaxed about catching the ball, we'll see his game develop.

If, however, he starts getting the dropsies early, he'll be all but done.
The Nike eye center will have boosted his morale by giving him a physical, correctable, excuse for last season.
A couple of drops will all but eliminate that "Get out of jail free" card in his mind, and we'll eb in for yet another season of, "Williamson's open?
NOOOOO!!! Don't throw it to him!!!!!!".

Sincerely, I hope he does turn it on this season.
    We desperately need him to.
This, being his 3rd season, is the time for him to do it.

So, like the Jackson/Bollinger issue, I'm adopting a wait-n-see stance on Troy.
He flat out sucked last season.
I hope he's gotten it out of his system now.

WR's take 2-3yrs to develope, so T-Will is ready and is going to show us why we drafted him with the 7th pick. Things will slow down for him. We know he can get open, so now I think his consentration on the ball is more focused.

Re: Star-Trib: First Practice in the Books

I agree with Caine, its a total confidence issue. What scares me the most is whether TWill can be a go to guy when the game is on the line. The drops last year in my mind meant that he is not good at handling pressure, and that is something improved eyesight won't fix.
