Spot on active roster will be a challenge for WR Nance
Spot on active roster will be a challenge for wide receiver Nance

Martin Nance isn't worrying about being a victim in a potential numbers game at wide receiver for the Vikings, but rather is concentrating on the one thing he can control: his performance.....

Re: Spot on active roster will be a challenge for WR Nance
Nance sure made a case to be that 5th WR on the roster this year instead of Ferg.
Correct me if I'm wrong but they can't put him back on the PS.
Maybe he will beat Ferg out and JJ and DR will slip to the PS.
Gonna be hard to let a cat like that go. Truth be told, the staff is gonna have to make some hard decisions to get this team down to its 53 man roster.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Spot on active roster will be a challenge for WR Nance
And the reason we will have a tough time getting our roster down??
Because of the job our scouting office does (see post in Booty/TJack Controversy thread)
I saw several things from many guys battling for spots that will make this decision very tough.
It may come down to practice\locker room attitude.
Things we dont get to see.

Re: Spot on active roster will be a challenge for WR Nance
Nance did a great job in the game.
He has done a pretty good job anytime he has played.
It is a tough choice.
If he goes to the PC someone is going to recognize his talent.
I would rather have him than Fergy.
I know Fergy has done a good job but Nance is 6' 4" and catches everything coming his way.
He may not have the experience but in this case I think we have enough experience with Berrian to make up for it.

Re: Spot on active roster will be a challenge for WR Nance
I still have a hard time seeing Nance or JJ or JR making the team, unless they decide top keep 6 recievers.
If anything, i could see them haning onto JJ for his return ability, but i still doubt it.

Re: Spot on active roster will be a challenge for WR Nance
Nance in, Ferguson out.
If the Vikes leave Nance on the practice squad this year, he will be scooped up no doubt.
Ferguson is reliable but a virtual duplicate of Wade. Nance provides additional stretching of the field and is every bit as reliable as Ferguson, as well as much younger.BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Re: Spot on active roster will be a challenge for WR Nance
I see that nance will be this years Jason Carter.
I had thought it was going to be JJ, but it seems now all the man-love is directed towards Nance.
I'm still not sold on him though.
