OK, Mr. A brought up a good discussion point in another thread that I spent a little (very little) researching to see what it would bring.

Using Draft History.com to find out who he had a hand in drafting and Football Reference DB to find out how many years they played, the following applies.

What I found more interesting than if he was successfull with defensive or offensive players (as Mr. A pondered), was how bad he was at resigning players.

Alot of the guys that are on this list suprised me that they started their career in Miami.

Doesn't bode well for us that are hoping he resigns our key players this year.

I'd imagine he's referring to the statement you made saying Spielman seems to do better acquiring D, and is pretty iffy with offens.e

You'd be correct, but I didn't take it as a statement, but more of as a comment that would make a good thread.

I don't think I've ever seen someone list all the draft picks our VP of Player personnel has drafted.

I wasn't saying he was some sort of guru drafter my friend. I just wanted to see who he drafted and if they were successfull with a minor interest into how many were on the defensive side of the ball or offensive side of the ball.

Why ohhhhhhh whyyyyyyyy are you now trying to turn this into something other than that.

And I"m not accusing you of that, I'm simply stating facts.

Spielman has sucked at drafting. Outside of hitting with our top picks, and the odd good player like Donald Lee, Chris Chambers or Patrick Surtain (really the only decent players who aren't vikings on that list) his drafting record is god-awful. Alot of mediocre players can stay in the league for 4+ years, and when they highlight your draft classes, that's rough.

Simply stating that, not accusing you of anything.
