The coaches have a huge role, not only the position coaches that actually attend, but the big dogs like Childress. The scouts, Spielman, executive, medical personnel, etc. are just glorified secretaries that gather up the pertinent data so the coaching staff can help disect what players would be a best fit. Mere technicians that get the data in order so it can be analyzed.

at this point in the program.. there is a lot more then just what the coaches want/ask/demand..
spielman and crew need to gather data, mine that data, and refine out a list of potentials, could be's, and.. those that might be fodder..
that's when the bigwig coaches join the table and begin to work out the pathway.. not in a .. him/not him but more in a .. ok.. our needs, or wants.. and what's the list giving us.
i've always agreed that it's not the chiller show.. but, it's also not just the spielman show.. each part of the wheel has a spoke thats doing it's job.. and in the end.. that wheel has produced for us in the last few years..
