    HOLY SMOKE!
I was about ready to give up on this site and all of a sudden some people are getting positive about the Vikes. What happened????

Jesus fucking bolly-eyed Christ the Jew.
    You know what?
Some of you huge, gaping vaginas need to go pick up some tampons to stop the gushing of pessimistic whiner blood.
I've never heard so much sniffling over a 10-6 team with a ton of young, maturing talent before.
Half the shit some of you type would be right at home on a Packers or Bears board, in a thread making fun of the Vikes.

Do yourselves a favor and go out to buy a crate of straws, because you need to reach down, grab your balls, and suck it up.

You want a perfect season and a team consisting of nothing but all-pros and a coach that makes the Tuna look like a hack.
    Well guess what?
    It aint gonna happen.
You can't have everything you want and this aint your goddamn sweet 16 birthday party.
You want the FO to shit a franchise quarterback from nowhere?
Yeah, pack a sammich kid, because they're not falling out of trees.

I'm so goddamn tired of this snot-bubble whining.
If you're SO pissed about the way the Vikings are being run, pack up your shit and move to a Packers board.
Stick some cheese on your head call it good.
Or just be a fan of whatever team owns the current title.
    Just shut up.

Yeah, how DARE you complain about the way a team is being run!?
What are you, some kind of "meow"!?
If you don't swallow all the pooh Chilly is shoveling down your throat, you're just a whiner!
Anyone who dares to have standards should just go and become a Packer fan!
    Mediocrity is just fricken FINE!
    One-and-done is GREAT!
Especially when teams with similar talent have GONE TO fricken SUPER BOWLS!
We got SEVEN PRO BOWLERS and this is the best we can do?
This isn't a good team - this is PATHETIC.
We took advantage of a weak division.
Believe me, we wouldn't have gotten into the playoffs if we were in the NFC South.

The people complaining about the many ways this administration have failed are not whiners.
We just expect more from OUR TEAM.
We're bigger fans than you are.
You're willing to settle for marginal improvement and a marginal team.
Sure, we went 10-6, but this is the most painful-to-watch 10-6 team I've ever seen.
Name ONE win we got against a team that seriously advanced into the playoffs.

The Cardinals were a different team in the playoffs than they were in the regular season - whereas we, as expected, choked on it big time.
This makes us a worse team than THE ARIZONA CARDINALS.
    Holy pooh, that's bad.

We're not getting any better than we are right now - not under Childress.
This team has peaked under him.
The defense has improved - but the offense has gotten worse.
If it weren't for Peterson, we wouldn't have gotten anywhere NEAR the playoffs.
If this team were run by people who knew what they were doing, we would be getting FURTHER in the playoffs.

The FO could have gotten a better QB if they really wanted one.
The Chiefs got Cassell for a second-round pick.
We could have gotten Garcia (who's a better fit for our offense, coincidentally) for a song.
He would've been a short-term solution, but he just might have gotten us over the top.
Instead, we got Sage Fucking Rosenfels.
    Yeah, nice move there, pally.

Don't piss on my head and tell me it's raining.

I don't care if somebody bitches, but it's at the point now where I can't read an article about Peterson having corn in his turds without somebody ranting and raving about how Childress can't scheme a proper portajohn.
    I don't care anymore.
I get that people don't like Childress...it's understood.

IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE REITERATED IN EVERY SINGLE POST IN EVERY SINGLE THREAD.

I understand that people don't like the FO, the coach, the scheme or the owner.
    Fine.
That's your view, good for you.
But jesus christ...give it a break, occasionally.

So name one team we beat that did well in the playoffs that wasn't the Cardinals (who went to the superbowl)?

What constitutes a serious advance into the playoffs?
A conference title game (which the Cardinals won, making them the NFC Champions, despite you thinking it's shameful that we're worse than the Cardinals)?

    Without Peterson, we'd be struggling.
    Sure, I'll grant you that.

Without Brady, the Patriots missed the playoffs.
Without Manning, the Colts would miss the playoffs.
Without Warner, the Cardinals would miss the playoffs.
Without Big Ben, the Steelers would miss the playoffs.

Peterson is our franchise offensive player.
He's a guy you build around, and a guy we are building around.
Of course his absence would hurt us in a huge way.

You can't say that we've peaked under Childress for a fact, anyway.
We've improved each year under him.

Regardless of all this, what is irritating me the most is that I can't read an article about anything without a bunch of guys rolling up to bitch and moan about something.
We signed a kid to help fix up our special teams coverage units, and somebody rolled in to bash the coach and FO.
    I mean...seriously?
    SERIOUSLY?
On a special teams role player post?

Do you think it's best to build a team around a 1-dimensional RB or do you think it's in our best interest to make that RB a 3-dimensional RB & then build on that?

I tend to choose the latter. Until AD can learn to pass block & catch the ball consistently, we will always be predictable when he is in there.

Eliminate that predictability & we are a better team.

I'm with you completely about this.
These are skills that he didn't have to use much at Oklahoma *spit*, but I'm sure he will get better with time.
