If we dont sign a Defensive end via free agency then this would be the draft:

    1st round: Defensive End
    2nd round: Defensive End
    3rd round: Wider Receiver
    3rd round(DEN): Safety

    7th Round DT

    you heard it hear first...
    1st round: Defensive End
    I actually agree (almost) here.
Still depends on what they do in FA but Williams signing now makes S second to DE.
2nd round:Safety I actually agree (almost) here as well but don't like any safety here. Value boards say that no S slated to go in the second round based on value.
I would think about DE here and S in the first round if you want to take one this high. I am almost covinced that they might go WR here if they don't resign Fergy.
    3rd Round QB/WR
They won't take a QB this high.
They will wait (like they did last year) and take a guy in the later rounds as thier project QB.
    3rd Round
You know they have 2 3rd round picks right?
    4th Round: O-line
I originally believed they wouldn't address the OL this year but the whole McKinnie thing has me second guessing.

    5th Round RB
I like RB here or maybe the 4th.
    6th Round DE/DB
    I like a CB here.
    7th Round DT
I think they need to go earlier for a DT.
Phat Pat and Kwill both wored down last year and Spencer isn't coming back.
    Big hole here.

    I would go.........

    1rst - S/CB Reggie Smith.
Gives them the extra flexibility to let him learn at S behind Sharper/Williams.

2nd - DE Chris Ellis. We need two. I am sure they will add a FA but not sure who.
    Maybe Odom at LDE.

    3rda. - DT

    3rdb. - CB

    4th - OT

    5th - RB

    6th - QB

    7th - LB

3B through 7th are for depth only.
They will target specific players during those rounds but will take the BPA depending how they fall out.

LOL, I actually have them drafting him in the second round.
Gr8 minds think alike ;D He ran the fastest time in the 40 for any DL. His stock is rising. going to be hearing alot more about this guy.

I actually watched more college football this year than I have my whole life as I cheered a bit for VT because of the shootings. Got to see him play quite a bit.

Didn't put him there cause of homerism, I just thought he was a good fit.
His stock might get him into the 1rst round but I'm not sure.

There is no team that would ever sign 2 DE's in consecutive rounds like that.
Especially when we have 2 awesome prospects in Edwards and Robison

You know they have a young guy on the roster called Chase Johnson right?
Does everyone just assume that he is crap?

I kindof link him to Dan Mozes.
They are on the roster for a reason and both had pretty decent scouting reports coming out of college.

Re: So Who Do We Draft Now??

If McKinnie keeps F'n up...on or off the field, his days are numbered.
I'm about ready to spend another first on a LT.
Maybe we can trade him for one...?

Unless we get Odom, or some other miracle takes place, we're going to need some DEs.

I really, really, really like Trevor Laws as a 2nd round pick...IF he is still there.
His motor fits our M.O. and I think the presense of a third, top-end DT could possibly restart our entire DLine's careers.

Even with Berrrian, I still think a clutch, make the damn catch no matter what the coverage/traffic, type of guy like Malcolm Kelly could fit our needs.
Obviously, highly unlikely, but wow, Rice, Berrian, Kelly...and AP!!!?!!??

As a huge Matt Birk fan, I am very concerned...he just doesn't seem to have the Meat to handle the rush up front anymore.
Getting a top notch Center is on my list.

And last, but certainly far from least, Safety.
Sharper will eventually be working as a football analyst/talking head of some manner.
Madieu is signed for 6 years, but after them Frampton is our only option...we need some depth at least.
Maybe a guy to push for playing time.
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Yes, we should trade him and a pick and move up to grab Jake or Chris Long.
Rock out with your cock out!!!
