I just won't understand our guys if we pass on Jarret at #7.

There is going to be an opportunity to get a good DE in the 2nd round.

That's true.

I just would rather see us take a chance on Jarret and then go for a DE or even TE in the 2nd. I am hoping we don't just snatch Gaines Adams right away. There are way more talented DE's this year than WR's. Which we need and looks like we aren't going to get. At least not in FA.

agreed..i like the idea of getting a TE in the 2nd round since the guy we just signed only has 35 career catches, and according to some giants fans, doesnt have great hands

Yeah I am not confident in Childress and his signings. It wouldn't be a bad idea to take Miller, Olsen or Spaeth in the 3rd round if they were there.

And I still believe that Quentin Moses is the best DE in the draft, so if he is there in the 2nd or 3 I hope we really do pick him up.

Hopefully Moses is in the 2nd, hopefully. He will not be there in the third. I'm thinking the brass choose the top safety or DB in the draft.
This would make a lot of people get their panties in a wad. And of course, the fans on the forums go crazy and ask for childresse's head.

I think the only way people on this board will be happy is if the brass trade to the third pick and get CJ. It's still a catch 22. Some will say we gave away too much for the pick.

I thought Childress had an excellent draft last year, and that's about all that matters at this point. The people we had making the decisions in the past are GONE. Therefore, they're irrelevant.

Greenway was hurt (unfortunately), Griffen ended up being a starter (and a damn good player), Ryan Cook started a few games and held his own for a rookie, Ray Edwards ended up being one of our best pass rushers at just 21 years old, and the jury is still out on Tarvaris.

I think each of these picks was a good one. I am looking forward to draft day!
