BJ will still be our starter when traing camp starts, but i could see jackson taking over starting duties if he shines at camp

Johnson will start. Better for the rookie to just learn before being thrown to the wolves.

I prefer to think of him in the same class as Moon or Cunningham. A capable veteran with a few suprises left.

Short of injuries or a dismal season Johnson will remain the starter. Jackson will be lucky if he sees any clean-up duties this season.

Would love to see Jackson take over. BJ isnt out future. Dont know if Jackson is, but i KNOW BJ isnt. We wont get to the playoffs this year, would seem a waste to have BJ play. Except to be a tutor.

Jackson will have this year off.. Much like Culpepper did when we first got him. He'll be tutored under Brad. At the earliest, I'd say that Jackson will earn his stripes in the 2007 season, starting.. At the EARLIEST.. Meaning, best case scenario, he'll be apprenticing under Brad another year.

Either way, I hope he turns out to be a solid QB. He has all my support until he does something to lose it.

We all know that BJ isn't our future...but he's the horse we're riding this year (And maybe next year too). With us transitioning to a West Coast (short passing game) offence, Johnson is a prime candidate to take the reigns for awhile. It's a system he knows, a system he won a Superbowl with, and he's a very efficient QB.

Jackson is an unpolished rookie who will need a solid year of work before he's ready to step in...if then. Read his scouting report, he has great "potential", but he isn't there...yet.

As for not making the Play-Offs, why not? We're not saddled with an impossible schedule. We play in a weak Division. We have a solid core team on both sides of the ball. The only thing stopping us is...well....US.

While I won't make Superbowl predicitons, I think that the play-offs are a very likely result this season.
