This was done to save cap space. If we would have kept
Smoot longer we would had to pay part of his salary.

I am just glad he is gone all the guy ever did was run his
mouth and then didn't back it up on the field. The guy
was Deion Sanders without the talent.

Not a good move, he was in a slump early in the year, but he really came through strong in the last half of the year. I still am not convinced he is a bad corner, just overly hyped maybe.

I'm with you FVB.. He was pretty dang solid

Butttttttt.. He just didn't want to be the third corner.. And we didn't want to pay that salary for him to be a 3rd

But I do think he is pretty talented.. And will start somewhere and be pretty decent

No emotions one way or the other.. He frees up much needed cap money, and now he has the chance to go start somewhere else.. His 2 seasons in Minny were nothing spectacular..
