Should the Vikes trade BMac to the Eagles for Lito Sheppard?

I don't think we can afford to give up BMac at this point...maybe after the draft, but that's a huge maybe.

i think that would be a realy good trade we are going to draft a OT in the 2nd round and hes going to be suspended anyways i think this is totally worth it if we do this and the allen trade it would a make our D number one with out a doubt!

agreed... until we have a viable replacement for BMac... we just can't afford it

Straight across I don't think it would be worth it.
If they would take BMac and our 3rd for Sheppard and their second plus swap first round picks, then I would say that is worth it.

That would enable us to trade our first from Philly to KC and our original second rounder for Allen, leaving us with picks 2,3,4,5,6,6,7.

Yeah...but Sheppard automatically upgrades the secondary...and if the Vikes get Allen, they end up with one heck of a defense.
BMac can be replaced in the running game phase of the offense...and his replacement can't be too much worse in the passing game phase (it's not that great anyway).

all very true, but I also think our DB's will be just fine if we have a decent pass rush..
