Re: SharperImage Picks the vikings picks

I wouldn't be the least bit upset if we take Schmitt in the 1st or 2nd.

Seriously. He will be a rock on our offense for years and years to come. AD needs some kind of a badass like Schmitt to pave the way.

Schmitt would be AWESOME... he broke like half a dozen face masks in college I think.
That being said, he's a stretch in the 2nd, I think the two 3rd rounders give us a legitimate shot at picking him up.

Truly, not many teams use a FB.
    SD, KC, Seattle?, who else??

I like Owen, but then what are we going to do with Jeff Dugan?
    ;D
Seriously though, him leading the way for AP and Chester, and we will be in damn good shape

I think that this staff likes to carry guys that can play both TE and FB.
Take alook at our roster/depth chart.
You will see that we carry almost twice the number as some teams.

Truth be told, I wouldn't be to suprised to see Dugan moved back to TE and Mills added to the FB depth chart.
He is a bit small for a TE in the scheme we run.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Coming out of Tulsa, he was projected as a fullback due to his lack of ideal height for the tight end position. When he was with the Patriots he was listed on their depth chart as both a tight end and fullback. I think he would be a great fullback for us when Richardson retires, and I could very well see that being the reason why we brought him in.

    what do you guys think
I saw Sam Keller play twice this year (once in person, once on TV), and I was not impressed either time i watched him. His throw accuracy was subpar in my opinion, his throws were errant all game, and his attitude made him look like a sissy little pretty boy (yes, that's a technical term ;D). He didn't look like he could keep his head when the game wasn't going his way. But like I said, that was only two games.
