Re: The Second Round
If Ijalana or Wisniewski are there at 43, remember Foster said pull the trigger for either. Ponder has had one severe concusion so far, from what I have read...
I fully understand how AD can mitigate a pass rush, but have factored that in with my thinking, along with the other needs of your team.
Do everything possible to not contribute to the manufacture of a bust QB due to deer-in-headlights syndrome, confidence issues, etc.
Again, imo

Re: The Second Round
Rudolph would be great at 43. but id like eithers Lines also or even the top rated safety this draft in moore.

Re: The Second Round
WRs are a dime a dozen. You can get them whenever. Take linemen.

Re: The Second Round
To answer your question, YES! Without an OL the QB can't get the ball to the WRs as we found out in 2010. WR help can be had but it's not as important as the OL. Games are made in the front lines.

Re: The Second Round
Before I get all bent out of shape over needing a offensive lineman, I want to see how well they play now that the zone blocking scheme is out the window.
It might be a drastic change, and listening to P.A. this morning he was talking about how Favre held the ball to long last year because he was trying to relive the prior season. Favre hung our lineman out to dry on alot of plays last season and I am glad I am not the only one who noticed that.
I would like to see us draft a safety in the second round.

Re: The Second Round
Excellent post my friend. Excellent post indeed, especially the point about the blocking scheme.
