SCVC Tribute To The Vikings

This past Saturday night, the Southern California Viking Club held their annual Tribute to the Vikings dinner. Former Vikings Mick Tingelhoff, Dave Osborn, Matt Blair, Brent McClanahan, Nate Wright, Joey Browner, Stu Voight, and current DT Spencer Johnson were the honored guests this year. This is a great oppurtunity for all Viking fans to meet some players. Every player is introduced by Stu Voight, who works every year as the Master of Ceremonies, and talks about their life as a Viking. The night starts with a no-host bar, followed by dinner, the players stories, then an autograph session. There is no charge for autographs! This dinner is open to all Viking fans who are members of the SCVC. Anyone, in any state or country, is welcome to join the club. Some players and coaches who have attended this dinner include:

Does Joe Kapp ever make it to those events. Man, I loved when he played QB for the Vikings. What a tough guy. One of my fondest memories is him running the ball and vaulting over a would be tackler.

He was here a few years back, and man, he was LOADED !!!!!!!!!!!!!! He and Tommy Kramer were "feeling good" that dinner! Kapp half way into his speech ripped his shirt off and gave it to a young woman !!!!!!

Now why can't we at P.P.O. organize something like that! :cool:

i remember see the SCVC when i went to the vikings/chargers game two years ago! i thought it was really cool.
