I think if we can get a RB in free agency we should draft Chad Jackson the guy tore it up at the combine.
40 Yd Dash - 4.32
3 Cone - 6.73
Short Shuttle - 3.97
Long Shuttle - 11.19
Basically what that means in case you dont know. He has the fastest straight line speed as well as the best acceleration. I also heard he only dropped 1 ball in positional drills.
We invested alot in Troy and I think using another first rounder on another WR this year wouldnt be wise. (See Detroit) Now I'm a BIG Chad Jackson supporter being he hails from my Florida Gators. I think we have a very strong WR core. If for some reason we loose K-Rob, we should look to later rounds in the draft or FA and get a decent respectable WR.
I would like to see us get Antwaan Randel El so we can use the wide receiver pass. I loved when Randy used to do it, but he didn't have the accuracy like Randel El does.
There is 2 options here. Now remember lets just say we sign a RB. There are no OL worth taking at 17. We can try and get a linebacker if we dont sign one before hand. But really the only options outside of RB i see at 17 is WR or LB. And more than likely we will sign some offensive lineman. I think our WR corp is solid. Nothing special. From what I have seen of Jackson he looks like a Chad Johnson type player minus the attitude.
I think our draft importance where it stands is like this
1:RB
2:LB
2:OL
3:SS
4:CB
5:WR
6:TE
that is my list not counting what we might do in FA. WR to me is not a concern at this point. I think its something we can easliy improve and not use another first rounder on.
If we loseK-Rob and that is a big IF... We should look at FA to fill the void for our #1 WR. Lets face it, Burleson is not a #1 Wr anymore, he didn't take off with it last season, and I don't think he is suited to be the go to guy..
With this CBA agreement falling through, there may be alot more options for us in Fa with teams needing to get under the salary cap.. Good for us, bad for the teams that have to cut good players..
We need to see what happens with the CBA, if black Thursday happens it could put some receivers into free agency that might make keeping Koren a possibility or it might give us somebody that we were not expecting to be available. Everything could change after tomorrow!

Exactly what i was going to say!!! I don't think we need to draft another receiver!!! If by some stretch of the imagination that we release K-Rob then i would look to FA for a possessive receiver or a big, bulky one!!!
