A source in Indianapolis says there's talk at the NFL scouting combine of the Arizona Cardinals swapping first-round picks with the Detroit Lions in an effort to bring Wisconsin tackle Joe Thomas to Arizona...

I have Thomas going at the second pick regardless of who has it.

I think Thomas is more of a safe bet than CJ.

It's usually easier to tell with linemen. (Mandarich excluded)

We need to move up to three to insure that we get CJ if the Raidahs take JaMarcus and the Lions/Cards take Thomas!

The jury isn't out yet on Gallery...he can always move to RT and still be pretty good.

The jury isn't out yet on Gallery...he can always move to RT and still be pretty good.

The jury has clearly decided that he was NOT a "can't miss prospect" and was NOT worthy of the 2nd overall pick in the draft.
#2 overalls are supposed to be instant impact players, which he is not.

Whether or not he will turn into a serviceable pro has nothing to do with declaring him a bust at #2 overall.

I hope this happens. Having the Cardinals in front of us when we move up to #3 would basically guarantee us Calvin Johnson..... unless Grandpa Al pulls some serious bullshit and screws us over hardcore.

pretty optimistic we are moving up to 3 to get CJ eh? if i read that chart correctly.. it looks like even if we gave up our 1st, 2nd, and 4th pics.. we'd still be a couple points short

There is a whole thread discussing what it would take.
The most likely scenario, if it were to happen, would be something like our first and third this year, and a second or third (provisional) next year.
