[b][u][size=13pt]Rice's illness keeps team short on receivers

The Vikings will get one starting wide receiver back for Saturday's preseason game against Pittsburgh, but they will be without the other.

These players in this day and age have been soooo wussified, it's pathetic. Sore toes and necks and knees. You know, I make $9/hr, so if I missed a few days of work because of a sore knee, foot or neck, I would be looking for another job because they can find someone else to replace me. I am so sick of pro sports because they get paid so much, but can't handle the pain that comes with the job. I would love to be in their shoes getting paid just $25,000 to sit on the bench. I have 5 mouths to feed, so excuse me if I'm a little upset over a little injury to a few making guaranteed millions.

It just shows that even the people making 9 dollars an hour are smart enough to know when millionaires are sandbagging it.

Athletes get paid for what they do in the regular season.
I have no problem with any of them sitting out during the preseason in order to get healthy.

If Uncle Sam didn't step in how safe do you think our neighborhoods and rest of society would be?
Poverty makes people do some real dumb shit.

Poverty makes people do some real dumb pooh.
The neighborhoods where uncle sam helps out the most seem to have the highest crime rates!
I have nothing against helping those in need. I'm all for it.
But uncle sam needs to find a path to an independant and better way of life for those able, rather than giving them a sentance of eternal poverty.
Social programs like early head start and head start are two examples I am glad to support.

I they dont play in the preseason with a small injury they are players receiving a lot that are wusses, if they play they are risking our team a lot of money they invested for nothing!

the problem for me is that i think both points of view are right!
Vikings from all over the world. Lets unite!
