Very interesting stuff my friend.Interesting blurb from the latest ESPN The Magazine...
"The Vikings' loss of their longtime lineman was the Ravens' gain. Birk not only won 86.5% of his point of attack blocks last season, he also proved he can pull just as well as any other offensive lineman. Instead of filling in for blocking guards, Birk jumped from his normal position 31 times last season, offering some offensive flexibility to a team repeatedly weighed down by quarterback troubles." - KC Joyner
Interesting...I still think losing Birk will hurt us more than a lot of people realize.
Watched Baldy break film down on Matt during last years NFC Playbook on the NFL channel were he showed how Matt couldn't pull as effectively as he should be able to as well as numerous clips of him getting pancaked and late getting over.....
Makes one wonder the following......Wonder how that cat got a 86.5% win rate.
Wonder what win rate other Centers have.
Wonder how he got that he pulled 31 times last season.
Wonder how often other Centers pull.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Resigning Birk
Birk is still good and I wanted one more year for Sully to be groomed and learn the ins and outs of the NFL and get pointers from Birk
But im hoping the best from Sully and I feel he can fit in.. Might have some growing pains.. But that's to be expected.. I still think he will play at atleast an average level this year
