Re: Resigning Birk
I would like to bring Birk back.
He can still play, is a real veteran voice in the locker room, and is a true Viking lifer.
Get it done.

Birk says he wants to stay; team, agent meet

I tried to tell Marrdro but again he would not listen to me. Just because there was no negotiations during the year does not mean he would be gone. There is a time for football and a time for business. We are stacked at Center. IMO Birk is the starter until proven that he is not.

Re: Resigning Birk
Nothing indicates that we have anyone that will do better than Birk. As the Center is the most important person on the line, i'd rather have Birk who has been a probowler for years and who's play is somewhat declining than a rookie or a young boy who has no experience at all.
Rosie O'Donnell is a dude!

Eric Wood. Looks kind of like Birk. Just watching the combine right now and I like him. He might be around in the 2nd round...
We're bringing purple back.

I don't know if you saw, but when he false started his 40 run, the way he responded to the coach was fantastic. "yes sir" type thing. I liked that."gregair13" wrote:

Marr would love to see QB competition on the roster next year, yet he was in full support of handing over the Center position, a position he avers is highly important to the team & handing those duties over to a second year man who has yet to snap a single ball in a regular season game.
