I'm not opposed to it.
Hopefully there is a little bit of a discount there.
If we pay top dollar we should be going after Brown since he is younger and entering his prime.

With all the Free Agents that have gone off the board you would expect Brown to be at the top, if Brown gets resigned by the Ravens it gets even more thin. The best option very well could be to bring Birk back on a shorter extention. Two-years would be ideal. I'm not sure its going to happen and I'll be a little surprised if it does.
This doesn't necasarilly mean we are going to re-sign him, it is a good idea though to keep in touch with the agent if the options for a Center become less and less. We are even talking to Sharpers agent so I don't think this means a great deal.
