Actually when we still had C-pep Brad did make sure and let us know that he did want to start. So he wasnt overly thrilled just to be in minnesota

Wow got some touchy people on here... I like Brad but still think Culpepper has more upside and can last through the beat down of a whole season. To me it feels like this season is going to be 'lets see what we can do with the QB we have until we find our QB of the future.' Its like a care taking season. Anyone know what I mean?
I think we can win the North but Superbowl? We dont even have a dominant side anymore. The offense has lost all the high power and defense is still a work in progress. I guess we could be the next Patriots and win 3 superbowls without the flashy players we are used to

That's an interesting point. Brad said he wouldn't accept a back up role, meaning he wanted to leave unless Daunte left. Whether or not Daunte warranted all the criticism he got, it is interesting that Brad never got criticized for threatening to leave.

    Regrets? Nope.

As WTP says, he was not going to be a Viking this year, so what is there to regret. Do I feel that the Vikings will do better this year with Brad vs. Daunte. Don't know, but I'm fine with Brad leading this team in a transition year. There are a bunch of changes going on and having a mature, high football IQ guy running the show hopefully will help eliminate some of the startup hiccups and at least play with some sense of organization. With Daunte running the show here, even if he wanted to, I think he would have a much harder time adjusting than Brad will.

Brad is at the end of his career, and the Vikings do need to groom a future QB (hopefully Tarvaris will be that guy). Brad lacks a lot of physical talent, but he has a good competitive spirit and a good feel for the game. Simply put, he's a professional that should help MN ease its way into the Brad Childress' offense.

My biggest concern is if Brad gets hurt, I really don't like our options if he goes down.

So now that Culpepper looks to start the regular season and feelings of regrets around here? Anyone honestly think Brad Johnson gives us the best chance of winning?
We have 4 QB's on this team. Of those 4, Brad gives us the best chance of winning.

Brad made it clear he wanted to be here if he was the starter ... I have no problems with that ... but when you are the starter and the "franchise" player and you make it clear you want to leave ... then go ...

Look I like C-Pep ... think he is an amazing talent ... but he bailed on my team ... he did not even try to make and strides to show he wanted to be here to the new staff (which I am not a huge fan of) or to the fans that wanted to just see his face here and there to know we might get him back next year ...
He just stayed down in Florida ... evaluated his options and decided he did not want to be here ... I think it would be silly to have regrets over trading a player that made it clear he was ready to move on.
