    I agree! Don't pick a WR.
I really think we need to go defense.
If we go WR, we will be doomed.
Lets get our defense 100% after that, lets go offense.

I do think that if Calvin Johnson declares and is available at #7 we should draft him.
I have read nothing but good things about his character and he might be the best reciever to come out in the draft in the past 5-10 years.
Tru Dat. Ditto. Except for the i before e except after c in receiver.

But that goes for CJ only.
If he's not available then go for the "best player available".

I think we should find the best free agent reciever and look for some DB's in the draft. This year showed our defensive backfield was very week.

Re: Reciever in the draft...I don't think so

I am not saying it is impossible to find a good reciever in the first round I am just saying it is extremely difficult. A perfect example is we had three first round draft picks playing wide reciever this year and they showed absolutely nothing.

Troy Williamson- first round to the Vikes
Travis Taylor-First round to the Ravens
Koren Robinson-First round to the Seahawks

I just finally want to see a draft where the Vikes are not (for lack of a better term) reaching.

Re: Reciever in the draft...I don't think so

this years draft has lots to offer. what we are looking for is a few key peices to replace some that will be gone in the coming 1 - 2 years.

What is more important for me then the draft is to get some FA WR's!!

1 or 2 of um. get a big play maker, and a solid hands receiver.

if we can solidify our WR core, we have lots of backups that can step in and our of the line up. I'm waiting to see what's gonna happen with what we have then i'll get into the Draft or not to draft option..

    Agreed.
Anyone who can catch the ball would be good. WR or not.
