Realistic Draft Pick and Free Agents/Needs
I've seen alot of mock drafts, wants and needs. But alot seem to be individual preferences. We have Daunte lover's and Brad lovers and Mewelde and Brian Williams lovers, but what is the reality of what the Vikes will do?
Who or what position do you REALISTICALLY think the Vikes will go after in the draft? Who/what positions do you think they will address in Free Agency? Please set aside your personal preferences of players on the team currently and who is available. Will it be O line, QB, RB, LB...?
I honestly don't have a clue myself.

Re: Realistic Draft Pick and Free Agents/Needs
Let me give it a shot to get it started.
Culpepper stays and starts
most of the oline stays
Bennet gone, O smith back, mewelde back
Bwill gone, bring in a free agent
Draft will be an o line or LB

Re: Realistic Draft Pick and Free Agents/Needs
Trade C-Pep, he's a 260 lb QB who relies on his mobility to be effective, his knee blew up, his mobility is gone. If we could get a first round pick from AZ or Miami I'd take it in a heart beat, I would even be content with a 2nd round pick. Start Johnson at QB next year. If LenDale White is available at #17, take him, if not take the best player on the board. We need to shore up the o-line in the 1st or 2nd round or through FA, we will have to make protecting Brad and opening holes for White or MeMo to run through a priority. I certainly wouldn't hold my breath that Onterrio is going to contribute next year.

STUD RB, STUD LB, STUD OL...those are our needs...whether we fill them in FA or the draft is entirely up to how much money Wilf wants to spend! I would prefer to go the FA route...so that we can win NOW!!!
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Re: Realistic Draft Pick and Free Agents/Needs
Here goes:
Assuming that
A. B-will leaves
B. Onterrio is gone
C. Pep comes back in full shape and starts.
D. Chavous leaves.
FA
1. Sign Akin Ayodele. Perfect MIKE for the cover 2.
2. Sign an FA Cornerback. Age doesnt matter only skill level.
3. Sign a new RT that is better than rosenthal.
4. Sign Adam Archuleta.
Draft
Round 1: Lendale White
Round 2: Greg Blue/ D'Qwell Jackson (if we dont sign either ayodele or archuleta)
Round 3: O-Line
Round 4: CB/ OL/ LB

let offard or Fox play, but don't get archuletta... i hate him... reminds me of shockey for some reason. seems cokey and never all that great to me.

do you really think Lendale will be available at 17? And what do you think the Vikes will really do? Take the best player available or pick to fill a position they need? I know its unpredictable, just trying to see how close we come to what they do. Remember a couple of drafts ago when the Vikes missed their pick? Or who would have guess Troy Williamson last year? Receiver yes, Williamson was a reach. Here goes:
