Re: RBC The Way Of The Future!
That's what I have been saying all along.
If he is around at #7 I'll be pissed if we take a WR instead of him. (And don't start saying CJ, he'll be long gone by then)
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Re: RBC The Way Of The Future!
the article brings out a lot of good points.. and i would love to have pederson on the team.. but we have to do something about our WR situation.. we can't run the ball every play even if we do have 2 stud running backs...

Re: RBC The Way Of The Future!
Agreed...if he is there at #7; you simply must take him.
At that point, he is probable the BPA.
Must pick up FA WR and draft well from there.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

As a matter of fact, I do know

Then I'd rather take a WR in the 2nd or later round, than reach for one if CJ is off the board.

Re: RBC The Way Of The Future!
we had a pretty good rbc a few years ago. especially in 2002, 2003, and 2004.
in 2002 michael bennet and moe williams (led the league in rushing)
in 2003 moe williams, michael bennett and onterrio smith (i think we were second in the league this year)
2004 was looking okay. Onterrio Smith was doing good filling in for bennett. then smith was suspended and MeMo came in and surprised everyone. While Moe Williams was doing his usual short yardage thing.

Re: RBC The Way Of The Future!
Look at who did good this year
Everyone of these teams did good with 2 runningbacks running the ball frequently
Colts; Addai, Mathis
Bears; Jones, Benson
Cowboys; Jones, Barber
Patriots; Dillon, Maroney
Jets; Washington, Houston
Saints; Deuce, Bush
All teams in playoffs
So Ravens and Giants gave the ball to only 1.. But Ravens relied big one their defense and Tiki Barber had an amazing season..
Take out Chargers, Seahawks, Cheifs, Eagles - all have elite runningbacks that can carry the team alone

Re: RBC The Way Of The Future!
Unless they plan on trading down, they should take the best athlete on the board. That could very well be Peterson.
There is one wide receiver I might consider first, but I doubt he will be on the board at 7.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"
