How do you guys hink we did wih signing Williams and Tapeh

I would rate it a solid B.
I like the WIlliams signing, not to wild about Tapeh though.
It would be nice if they would try to resign ferguson also.
If the rumor about Berrian signing a 5 year deal tomorrow morning is true, I would bump that to an A, since the agreement came tonight, but the signing is jus ttomorrow.

Until they can prove that they are a good fit here, I don't know that they are worth the money.
I like that we are spending money though, just not sold on these players yet.
So I give it a C right now.
Once Williams has 8 picks I'll give it an A.

for the 1st day and other visits planned i have to give it an A. i mean you can't fill all your holes in one day, but we got a starting safety, fullback, trying to sign a starting wr, and have starting defensive ends coming to visit hopefully. and somewhere down the road maybe backup qbs.
that's alot accomplished so far on day one, lets just hope it extends to day 2.

nobody can know it if will all work, but for what we need and what we are targetting i think they are doing a good job so far.
some of you guys are tough customers.

I'm impressed. The Vikes of old would have sat on their hands and chased some unknown B players. While I'm not crazy about the choices, I hope it means well for the future when quality players we need will be available.

I go with a C+ because we did not get Berrian to sign today.
I think I would rather Gibril Wilson over Williams at safety too.
At FB I think we should have re-signed T. Richardson.

g.wilson is better against the run and not very good in coverage.
doesn't sound like something we need.

berrian is a maybe, considering we inked 2 other guys, the vikes and berrian taking a bit longer to maybe work out a deal is hardly a negative.

i like richardson, but he's 36, and it was the organizations decision to move on cuz i think everyone got the feeling richardson would come back if we wanted him.

so lets add it up.
the vikes have targetted 3 guys, 2 are signed, and one is a maybe.
and then their 4th might be on his way here if san fran doesn't blow him away.
what more do you guys want?
you gotta be a little realistic here, its not a candy store.

I like the Williams signing, however I think he was overpaid greatly... Tapeh signing seems like a decent fit.. I am not sure why everyone is so hot for Berrian.. he is a burner with suspect hands, didn't you just trade one of those.

Decent day of work purple people.... Not trying to be an arshe.. but Berrian is not the answer IMO.

Yeah we did trade Williamson, he caught something like 18 balls last season Berrian caught 71. While we will have to overpay he's our only real option other than a Rookie who is unlikely to make solid contribution as a rookie.

Berrian, Rice and Wade make a nice trio to go along with Adrian and Chester. The weapons are starting to come together.

ive said this in other threads, i dont think they expect him to be the answer, they expect him to compliment sidney rice who is more of an all around threat.
he's gonna get paid as a number one wr but i think he is gonna be expected to do what he did in chicago, and like vikingstw said, i'd take 70 catches considering we haven't sniffed 70 since moss.

and williams we signed for 6 years at 33 million when g.wilson went for 36 million and can anyone honestly say one is really better than the other.
plus i think williams is younger, probably not by much but even so.
so basically, so far so good
