Raiders giving Fonoti a look: The Raiders are looking at Vikings guard Toniu Fonoti and should wrap up a one-year deal to sign him in the next day or two. Fonoti is a natural fit for Oakland's offensive line. First, he's big -- 6 feet 4, 349 pounds. He's one of the best -- if not the best guard -- available in free agency. Fonoti is looking at a one-year deal so he can try to hit a big contract in free agency in 2007.

Now, I suppose he means Fonoti's da best guard who ain't been given an offer sheet yet. Or, he somehow forgot about Hutchinson, y'know?

jeeze, i wanted us to keep him on the right side, and move johnson to right tackle..now we have to sit through another year of rosenthal playing like complete trash

If Fonoti is in shape, around 360, which I bet he isn't even down to that yet, he is one of the better guards in the league. He just got fat and pissed off the wrong guys in SD. They had someone that had initiative to play and could do it well to replace him.

Fonoti was above 360 in college, and he looked lean in that photo, there is no way that he is anywhere near 349, that is hugely funny, LOL. I would put money on it. He might have went on Jared's Subway diet, but I highly doubt it.

well i guess liewenski is moving back to the right side, so if he can return to his for of 2-3 years ago where he was a potential pro bowl pick, then this wouldnt really matter..but i wouldve rather gone into the season with fonoti starting on the right side with johnson playing RT

have we forgot about Anthony Herrera?!?! I know I have that guy has lots of potential and plays with a mean streak. I hope he is our strarting RG next year.

I work with a faders fan and this morn he was telling us that earlier this year (late Jan) he saw al davis in person and he said that dude looks like he has been goin toe to toe with death for a while. he said due looks like a real life zombie
