Vikings coach Brad Childress isn't going to rush any decisions on his starting quarterback for 2009.
"It's really kind of a whole offseason type of study," Childress said Thursday. "I'm not going to pass judgment right at this particular point. I think with everybody here in the organization, just like we always have, (the goal) is to turn over all the rocks and see what you have there."....

In regards to FA, if the Pats end up slapping a franchise tag on Cassell (as expected), our best bets (although old) would be either Garcia or Warner. Any of the others would not be able to get us where we want to go.

the maturityofp the wqbs they drafted or maybe they got real good coaching
As for Cassell
i think hes product of the
patriots and
not a
proven
qb.

excellent point - he fits the system and works well within it , which is no bad thing. Whereas we seem to think that we can just plug a QB in and expect them to drive the KAO with no problems. Given our showing this year then either we don't have the QB's that fit the KAO or the KAO is not all that it is cracked up to be. After watching the Vikings' playoff loss to the Eagles a week ago, you'd be well within your rights to wonder what, exactly, the Beloved Purple are going to do about the quarterback position for 2009.

It seems to me that any QB that has faced the Igglz the last few weeks has looked pretty feeble. Tarvaris struggled, but look how badly Eli struggled yesterday. I don't want any part of Farve, Garcia, or Warner, they aren't a fix, but just a stop gap, and watchin g Farve throw interception after interception it would boggle my mind if we signed him. Brady Q, or Anderson from the Browns might be someone to think about. Tarvaris has improved, and is showing the ability to lead us, and I think he'll remain our starter next season... Oh Yeah and
