WHERE WILL QUINN LAND?

With (as a league source tells us) a grade of 8.0 in the National scouting rankings, Quinn legitimately has the inside track on being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft.

So is it too early to project where Quinn might land? Yeah, but we're gonna do it anyway.

The candidates for the worst record in the 2006 season are (in our view) the Jets, the Bills the Titans, the Texans, the Raiders, the Vikings, the Packers, the Saints, the Rams, the 49ers. Of those, the Jets, the Bills, the Raiders, the Vikings, the Packers, the Saints (who owe Drew Brees a $12 million option bonus in March), and the Rams would be the prime candidates to land Quinn.

Other teams who might need a starting quarterback in 2007, and who might be inclined to trade up if a team like the Texans or the Titans hold the first pick, include the Browns, the Ravens (if the Steve McNair experiment is a disaster), the Chiefs, the Cowboys, and the Lions.

Well, are THEY in for a surprise! Hah!

Good. We saw what happened last year when we were picked to goto the Super Bowl...Daunte totally collapsed and the rest of the team quickly followed. It's much easier to overachieve than to live up to lofty expectations.

We'll show 'em what we've got on the field.

Whatever... All the so-called experts are weed-wackers anyway...

Nobody thinks that the Vikings will make an impact this season. All the sports magazines, Athlon, Street&Smith, Lindy's have the Vikings placed 2nd in the NFC North. Even the programs on the NFL Network have the Vikings missing the playoffs.

I even heard a question posed to Adam Shein of "The Afternoon Blitz" where he was asked of these teams, Detroit, Arizona, Minnesota, and St. Louis, who would make the playoffs. His answer was St. Louis. I mean really, the Rams?

The consensus is that there will not be a wildcard from the NFC North and the Bears are practically a lock.

I don't know what everyone's been smoking but I wish I had me some.

I'm just tired of all these "experts" trying to predict who will do what this season. The NFL never plays out like anyone predicts which is why they play the game. They, like us will just have to wait and see.

The experts are usually just guessing.

Thats why we had the 17th draft pick right? According to this, we had like the #3 draft pick

These people don't have a lick of sense. We have one of the better defenses in the NFL, and our offense doesn't have any real holes. All solid players. Oh well. They are the "experts" I guess.
