Preist Holmes
I don't know if this has been discussed in much detail or not but ESPN says that Priest Holmes may be cut from the Chiefs because of salary cap woes. Seems like he would fit in nicely with the WCO.

Re: Preist Holmes
Too old ( as far as rb standards go ) and has way to many serious injuries. I wouldn't want him on the Vikes. If that were to happen, you would be taking a step back. We have younger players that we could take a chance on instead.. IMO

Re: Preist Holmes
I have thought about him quite a bit now that they hvae passed the torch to Baby LJ. I was wondering what was going to happen to him.
I didn't know he was going to be cut. But it would be only a short term option if we took him on. If we drafted a RB, let the other RBs go, and brought in Holmes to run along side the draftee, that might just work. All food for thought.

Re: Preist Holmes
I think it might be interesting to bring him in to camp, just to help and push the younger guys - he'd be a great short-yardage back to replace Moe Williams!!!

Re: Preist Holmes
He would want too much money to come back...he will probably retire anyway! I think that the injury bug has caught up to him.

Re: Preist Holmes
i think if we can get a decent deal i wont mind him. most of our backs are rookies or sophs. they can learn alot from a player like that.

Old? Hell, how about to beat the "F" up? He suffered a possible career ending injury. No way Jose!

This off of the Chiefs home page. He's 32 and on injured reserve. If we take this guy it better be for the league minimum.REDHORSE

I wouldn't even sign him for the minimum. He is way passed his prime, and to much of a liability. His injuries are what is going to make teams pass on him. He was a great back, but after that hip injury, and now that neck deal, he is to much of a risk..
