Possible FA LB Options.
Was thinking even though Witherspoon is gone still some good LB's out there to Fill the void. And still could draft a LB.
Akin Ayodele (Underrated LB From Jags Very good)
Gary Brackett (Colts, Has Tampa 2 Knowledge Recorded 127 Total Tackles)
Chris Clemons (Showed Awesome Progress This Season with the Skins)
Julian Peterson (Explosive Awesome LB, Injury Prone though)
Tommy Polley (Pretty Good LB Formely of the Ram's and Raven's)
David Thornton (From Colts Also Has Tampa 2 Knowledge)
Either of these LB's would be awesome.

Re: Possible FA LB Options.
I dont think we sign a bigshot linebacker, im sure that we will draft a linebacker in the first round and start him and Ben Leber at OLB positions..

Only LB on here that is considered a "Bigshot" Is Julian Peterson. We still need a MLB.

Re: Possible FA LB Options.
At this point, I'm really hoping for Ayodele or Peterson. If we don't get one of them, I'd like to get Sims in the draft.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

I bet we're looking for our MLB in the draft. A guy like Anthony Schlegel out of Ohio State is somebody that is under the radar, but can come in and play right away. The kid has a huge motor, and if you can play linebacker at Ohio State these days, you can play linebacker in the NFL. He could probably be had in the middle or late rounds too. The coaching staff might just stick with EJ though, too. Who knows.Only LB on here that is considered a "Bigshot" Is Julian Peterson. We still need a MLB.

I say we try to strike a draft day deal to land AJ Hawk!!!
That would be a BIG Viking Coup!

David Thornton is my pick..he is fast, and has played well in the cover 2 defense for the last couple years
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

LaVar Arrington or Julian Peterson. Either one of these LB's and the signing of Hutchinson and I will be satisfied with Free Agency. We need the OLB that can get to the QB quick and Arrington or Peterson can do that.

Re: Possible FA LB Options.
AJ Hawk would be sweet..... Peterson would be a good pickup as well. We are doing really good thus far in FA. We have gotten a top 3 kicker in Longwell, seems like we got a pretty good LB in Leber (from what I am reading) Chester Taylor remains to be seen, but when given the chance, he has done really well backing up Jamal Lewis..
If we get Hutch, with him, McKinney, Birk, possibly Fonoti, that will be a awesome colossal line right there.... Taylor reminds me alot of Brian Westbrook, I believe that Childress saw that as well and went after him balls to the wall... Hopefully he can excell with the Vikes.. As I look at it, it was smart to go out and get a back like him versus spending the bank on Edge. If we get Hutch, it will be that much better..
