Thing is even if we get a Stud player for all those pics, whos to say he wouldnt become injured or a flop? Thats to many potential great unknowns to give away for someone who isnt proven in the NFL!

Take a risk and do it. The Vikings have never made a big impact on the NFL Draft (except by giving teams behind them their picks), and this would be huge. With the depth the Vikings have already I don't see why they should not trade up to get Hawk OR Cutler (no Young though). Like you said, they would still have a second and third anyway, so they really aren't giving up too much. They can not pass up potential superstars to draft more E.J. Hendersons and Marcus Johnsons or special teamers. PULL THE TRIGGER!!!

I was implying that all of our draft picks are not worth the 1st pick in the draft. Last time that was done, it was for a guy named Ricky Williams. Hmmm

i think that would be a terrible move! plus, i sure wouldn't take Vince Young! that is going to work out to be another Ryan Leaf saga!!! Vince is an incredible college athelete, but he will not prosper on an NFL team. AJ Hawk will be a cheesehead if he makes it to the 5th pick. cutler would be the best pick

No thanks! I'd wait for the quality players who'd still be around at 17 and the rest. I just don't think gambling like that is worth it. Do we know that any of those QBs are going to be a success? No. Could be a Ryan Leaf, who knows . . . so many picks this year for us . . . it's a luxury, enjoy it!

For one, the draft is always so iffy, you never know who is going to be big in the NFL and who is going to bust. Just because someone is rated high doesn't mean that they are going to do well. For example... Ryan Leaf  Well thats just a little too obvious right there, but I would rather us keep all of our picks and see what we get. The draft is deep this year and I think we could get a lot of good players with all those picks.

I sure as hell would give up even one or two more picks if it would get us to number one to pick Reggie Bush. That kid would be the ideal player for the west coast offense, great pass catching ability, route running so good experts say he could have been the best receiver on USC's team, and that isn't even considering his effect on the run game. The hype is real on Reg, and IMO any time you have a chance to get a player that you know is going to be a superstar who can change the game plan of the other team (Remember how Moss did that?) it is worth giving up a lot to get him.
